  I have a website but I would like to transfer my domain to WordPress. Is this possible and how? I want to keep my existing name due to advertising, etc but I want to build a new site myself

  All you need to do is to get a hosting from a webhost provider. I recommend hostgator because it’s stable and offers good prices. After registering your domain, you will need to enter your control panel (not your wordpress dashboard, but the one from your webhost provider. you will have the link and your log in info after you’ve registered your domain with them) and install wordpress on your website.
