i have added some new catogeries. now i need to change/add more, but cant?

  i have added some new catogeries. now i need to change/add more, but I cant?
  I am doing the same as i did before so not sure what i am doing wrong……

  please help this novice….
  I had an interview category which is also a tab. I have changed it to be called 5 questions. the tab is changed but i cant rename the category or create a new one to replace it. also i cant create any new ones- which i will need to do soon,,,,,, how do i do this please in simple step by steps??

  Where are you attempting to add categories and what happens when you try to do so?

  i cant rename the category

  It’s not clear whether you’re referring to editing a category, or editing a menu item navigation label.

  Edit categories
  The Categories support page describes three different ways to add categories. Categories can be edited or deleted at either My Sites > Settings > Writing, or the WP Admin Categories page (see Managing Categories in WP Admin).

  Edit a menu item navigation label
  Two different ways:

  • 1. At My Site → Settings → Writing → Categories, as described at the Adding Categories via the site settings section of the Categories support page, you’ll find a three dot icon to the far right of each category. Click the three-dot icon to open the options. The options include the “Edit” and “Delete” options and others.
  • 2. See the Managing Categories in WP Admin section of the Categories support page.

  Add a menu item that links to a category page
  How to add a menu item that links to a category page is described/illustrated in the Add menu items section of the Custom Menus support page. To add a menu item that links to a category page, choose from the category type.
