I have an ecommerce store installed, can I add a blog to this domain?

Hello,
I have a wordpress database set up with an amazon affiliate store on my domain.
I would like to add a blog but I am told that the store will disappear if I add it. and the store should be put on a different domain.
Is this true?
Why can’t I have my store and a blog on the same wp domain name?

Your question sounds like you are running a WordPress.org setup and not WordPress.com. Those are two different types of WordPress setups. You have posted in the WordPress.com forums, but adjusting the database or adding an affiliate store are not options here at WordPress.com.
