I have an existing domain name, sherrybrink.com.

    I bought it through 1&1 a while back not knowing what to do with it. Now I want to have it mapped to Word Press so WP can host it. I did go to 1&1 and changed the DNS with the ns1.wordpress.com, etc but i am not sure i have done everything i am supposed to. On the wp web site, i am supposed to find a connect to wp button but i don’t know where to look for that. the domain i have has no space on it and, therefore, no info on it. it is just a domain name.

    i don’t know how to switch to the web site and then back to wp to do more uploading/editing.

    any help is appreciated. i only have limited knowledge on all this. i am taking a word press class right now and have 2 more classes to go (3 all together), so i only know so much.

    also, i am not sure if i made another web site called http://wp.me/1. not sure what i’m doing but i don’t have a class until next week and i amsupposed to have this set up by then.

    Once you have changed your nameservers, just add the domain to your blog via Upgrades -> Domains in your Dashboard.

    wp.me is out URL shortener for use with linking on character-limited services, like Twitter. There’s a wp.me link for every post and page on you blog accessible via the “Shortlink” button in your admin bar.
