I have another site called tigersinredweather.org but I can’t log in. None of my email addresses are working
-
Hi there, I set up a new blog on the domain tigersinredweather.org but I am now unable to see the backend. Every time I log into WordPress, it takes me to a very old blog called lexiconifer and my two new posts are not visible here. The two recent posts are live as I have them bookmarked, I just can’t log into the backend. I’ve tried all the email addresses I have access to but none of them seem to have a WordPress account linked to them. Please help me get access to my account again.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
You see the
lexiconifersite is because that’s the only WordPress.com site you have under this account. You need to log out of this account and log into the correct account that owns that domain and site. If you don’t remember what account you used to make the purchase, you’ll need to go through the account recovery process to prove ownership and be provided access.
Since you just made the purchase and if you have the transaction IDs from charges on this account, you can use the Account Recovery form to prove ownership of the site, then WordPress.com support can help you from there. You can find that form here:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Just fill out as much information as you have, including an email address where Support can get in touch. The transaction ID will be on your bank statement as
WordPressfollowed by a letter/number code. They’ll look like this:WordPress XXXXXXXXXXYou can read more about what the account recovery process entails here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
I hope that helps!

Hello, thank you for your time and the response but I’m afraid that this isn’t going to work as I don’t have even have a transaction ID! I’ve checked all of my bank accounts but there’s nothing in any of them going to WordPress. This is very odd as I clearly remember launching the site and selecting one of the payment options.
I’m now entirely baffled…is there any other way of finding out which email address tigresinredweather.org is linked to?

We definitely have a transaction to a card ending in
62with the same name that you are using in this account’s Gmail address. If you don’t see the
WordPress XXXXXXXXXXin your account, you may need to call your bank for that information. The email address used in that transaction is also not a Gmail address, so you should review your email accounts to see what other address you may have used.
Also, all our automated email correspondence for that account has been bounced back, which indicates that the email address does not exist. If you did not use a valid email address, you’ll need to also fix that when you regain access to your account as it could result in your domain being suspended by ICANN. They require domain ownership verification and send these requests to the same account email address we have on file, so those would also be returned which would alert them to suspend the domain.
Good luck!

This was SUPER helpful – thank you! Because you told me the last two digits of my card, I was able to figure out which account I paid from. I downloaded my full statement from the app and the WordPress ID number was there.
I’ve now gone through the account recovery process so I hope I’ll get access soon!
As for the email address not being a gmail address, that’s still confusing me because I’ve tried ALL email addresses I have access to and none of them are working…hopefully once the account recovery comes through, it will be clear.
Thanks for your help!

Glad to hear that helped! Since it is the weekend, there might be a delay in getting a response, but having the transaction ID will give you access to the account once they review your request and they can also clear up the mystery of the email address.
Cheers!
