    Hi there, first of all your site at subsonixcomau.wordpress.com is up and running. If you mean it should appear at a custom domain like subsonix.com.au then the previous owner should have transferred ownership of the site and upgrades to you, not only added you as an Admin. https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    Hello there,

    What is the URL of the site you’re looking to get access to?

    Straight off the bat, the site owner would need to transfer the site ownership and subscriptions.

    Thanks, it is Subsonix.com.au

    The previous owner has given us access to the site but it us not live as she is no longer associated with the club or in the country.

    I understand this as we must set up an account to allow Jen to transfer the ownership to the new account.

    Does this have to be a person or can it be the club to save this issue in future, it would be assigned to club secretary for instance?

    Hi again, any existing WordPress.com account in the Admin role can receive ownership from the previous site site owner.

    You can set up a new, separate WordPress.com account for the club secretary (generic) and then have Jen’s account transfer site ownership to that new account. But most importantly, the log in information for that new club secretary owner account should be kept in a safe place so your club doesn’t lose access again.

    If you’re talking about transferring upgrades, there needs to be an active credit card or PayPal account associated with the club secretary’s account as well.

    Most importantly, contact CrazyDomains Australia https://www.crazydomains.com.au/contact/ to renew the domain and update the domain owner contact details.

    Again, hope that helps, but post back here if you have other questions. Once you transfer ownership to the new account and upgrade back to your previous plan, you’ll have access to direct support and not need to post in the community forums.

    One last thing, if you do decide to go the club secretary/generic account route, I’d strongly recommend using a generic email address for that WordPress.com account and not one that uses the custom domain. That way, should there be any issues with the domain itself, you’ll still have access to that account’s email.
