I have been asked to edit a current blog and add a video tab. HELP

I have been asked to add a video page to this blog. I am very green in this area (I started a basic blog of my own but don’t use it much) and don’t even know where to start to edit theirs. I feel like there is no starting from scratch help out there, and there are ton of things to read. It would be immensely helpful to talk to a person about this. I public forum the only help available?

The blog has links at the top like a website “home’ ‘the economy’ etc. I thought of adding a link to the videos then I would need to add the videos to that page. Or I could also add video links on the homepage of the blog in the right rail I guess. Not sure the best way to do it.

Which website are you referring to? Please provide the URL, so we can see what you are describing.
If you’re referring to WordPress.com website, one approach you might take would be to use a custom menu including an item named “Videos” which links to posts containing videos and assigned a “videos” tag or category.

This is it. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar to call for staff attention.

That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. Our support docs do not apply to it and you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
