I have been charged 299 dollars even though i signed up for a free plan! :(

    Hi,

    First of all , I am new to wordpress. I tried signing in for their free blog, salonhunt.wordpress.com, but they cahrged me 299 dollars saying I chose the business plan. I DID NOT. I am a student and all my money has just vanished.

    This is very shocking and I am deeply saddened with this behavior. I want my money back. I never signed up for the business plan. I dont even want the free plan now. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK.

    IS THERE A CONTACT NUMBER OR A HELPLINE I CAN CALL. I HAVE NO MONEY LEFT IN MY ACCOUNT THANKS TO WORDPRESS JUST TAKING IT AWAY WITHOUT TELLING ME OR INFORMING ME. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

    Hi salonhunt,

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all services except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals and Guided Transfer services. You should be able to request for a refund yourself in Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.

    In any case, I’ve tagged this topic for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond, and please be patient while waiting. Most of the WordPress.com staff are away till September 24, so you might have to wait for them to get back.

    It looks like you successfully canceled and refunded this today.

    Depending on your credit card provider, it can take up to 10 days for the credit to appear on your statement.
