  It gives me the option to follow my own blog ie the word Follow appears) on my own blog even when I’m logged in. Does that give you guys any helpful clues??

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry for the continued trouble with this. I have a few questions about how you follow blogs and read blog updates to help me investigate this for you:

  1. Do you only use one device to access WordPress.com? If you use more than one device (for example, a laptop and a mobile device) please let me know. If you use one of the WordPress apps that would also help to know.

  2. Do you read blogs you follow in the WordPress.com Reader? Do you follow blogs in any other way (via email, with an RSS reader, etc.)?

  3. Have you noticed any patterns in when you get desubscribed from a blog? For example, does it happen after you switch devices or use a WordPress app?

  Hi Rachelmcr, thanks!

  1. I mostly use our home PC and iPad. I now use my iPhone but the issue began at a time when I did not use the iPhone.

  2. I only read blog stuff via Safari. I have blocked all email subscriptions and do not use Rss.

  3. No real pattern so far! I’d say it began about 5 months ago and has gotten worse recently. Also my own blog gives me the option to “Follow” if that gives any clues.

  1. I use my laptop too. Also I used to have the WP app but was told by staff it was only for editing.

  Thanks for those details! Just a couple more questions for you:

  1. How do you subscribe to blogs? (Do you click the “Follow” link in the admin bar at the top of the blog?)

  2. Right after you subscribe to the blog, do you see the blog subscription on the Edit Blogs I Follow page?

  3. Can you try resubscribing to Mind Hacks at mindhacks.com to see what happens? You can also try resubscribing to other blogs (including your own blog) to see what happens with them, too.

  Please let me know once you’ve done that and I’ll take another look.
