I have bought premium but cannot use plugins!
-
I have just upgraded to the premium service having been advised by colleagues that this would allow me to use plugins. For instance I want to generate attractive pdfs from selected posts (e.g. using https://wordpress.org/plugins/kalins-pdf-creation-station/). But I cannot see how to do this. Is it possible at all, or do I have to self host? (I don’t know how to do that). I am disappointed having paid $99 (per year). Also, if I now cancel the order in the grace period what will happen to my domain name http://www.neurobanter.com which I registered through your service?
Thank you for your assistance,

Hi there,
I’m afraid that for both our free and paid levels, we do not allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. We do however include a lot of the functionality of some of the most-requested plugins automatically:
As for your domain, if you cancel your Premium package then you should be given the option of keeping your domain and only be given a refund minus the domain. If you are uncomfortable with the automated system, I can manually cancel your premium package for you and make sure the domain stays where it is.

Thanks so much for your rapid response. It is much appreciated. & it seems I was misinformed (not by WordPress). So yes, if you could cancel my premium service I would be very grateful. I am happy to pay to retain the domain http://www.neurobanter.com (will this be a recurring cost?).
Also, I’d be very grateful if you have any recommendations for producing pdf ‘booklets’ from collections of blog posts.
Many thanks

Hi Anil,
I have made sure that your WordPress.com Premium does not renew out of its trial period. Your domain is in annual purchase and renews a month prior to expiration, so in November of 2015 you will get notifications that it needs to be renewed.
Unfortunately I’m not really familiar with the products which are available for making PDF books, however various users have found success with the following products:
blurb.com
blog2print.com
blogbooker.comAgain, I don’t have any experience with any of these, but you may want to take a look!
