I have deleted a blog but I'm still being charged for hosting

    Hello. I am stuck in a vicious circle. I had a blog called Consultancyovercoffee. I bought the name. I then deleted the blog – I have no use for it, a failed business venture.

    I then received this email below – sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff). As the account is deleted I cannot sign in to manage payment options. I also can reactivate my account as I have do not have any of the three methods of proof that you require. I feel it is a little bizarre that the name/hosting wasn’t cancelled when I deleted the blog.

    Can you help? I have no way of cancelling this payment as things stand. Please help.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew there. > Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.
