I have external hosting, how do I gain access to plugins through wordpress.org
-
Hi —
I’m really confused. I registered a site through wordpress (emilyrosenzweig.com), and then I purchased external hosting through HostGator. I installed WordPress through hostgator (though I’m such a newbie, I’m not clear where that installs it *to*… So it seems to me that given that I’m paying for external hosting, I should now have access to the wordpress.org plugins and such. But I can’t figure out how to do this — or if there’s some way I need to ‘tell’ wordpress that I’m using external hosting? HELP! So confused!
Thanks

You are posting to the wrong support forum. We can’t help you here. this forum is only for free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
Click this link http://wordpress.org/support/ and on the top right hand corner of that page register a wordpress.org username account so you can post to the correct support forum.
