I have go daddy but want word press. Isn't word press better?

I want my junker website.wallstreetcowboys.com to look better. Go Daddy leaves a lot to be desired. My site is due for renewal june 5th. I want to get word press. Does word press come with a website builder like godaddy did?Any body out there have go daddy and switch to word press?? Thanks.

Should I stay with go daddy for hosting? Can I put password protected pages on word press(i looked and found 8 year old posts that I could).
Can I embed a google spread sheet? Can I embed a paypal link to sell stuff?I’m not sure what this means:

I can buy word press from go daddy? wouldn’t it be better to go directly thru you. I’m kinda lost here.I guess I should call them but they’ll try to sell me. sigh.

WordPress.org is free code. You can run it on your own servers, and you can modify the code as you’d like. In fact we do that here and offer it as a service: at WordPress.com we take care of the code and server stuff for you so you can focus on content.
On our service you can indeed embed a paypal link, as well as a google spreadsheet. We support those and many other features, and can help you through setting them up.
You’d need to start by picking a theme and adding your content. We could also help you export your content from your GoDaddy installation and import it here.
