I have linked my blog to my facebook account but nothing is showing up for my friends

I can view it, but none of my friends can see what I am posting. I think I have the settings wrong to link but when I disconnect and connect again it just connects and doesn’t ask about the settings? How do I do this? Thank you for your help.

Hi @buencamino61 – Are you using Publicize to share your WordPress.com blog posts to your Facebook profile?
This tool will not retroactively share posts created before you connected to your Facebook profile.
When you create a new post and are on the Edit Post Screen locate the menu on the left side of your screen. Under ‘Configure’ find ‘Sharing’ and open it. You should find your Facebook profile listed here if the connections are all properly in place. Ensure that the box is checked next to your Facebook profile to share the new post.

Yes I did all that and clicked on connect before I posted and made sure sharing was on.
I don’t think the Facebook connection is correct. I can see it on my facebook page but none of my facebook friends can. Is there a way to disconnect and start over from scratch with adding Facebook connection? I have tried twice to disconnect but when I want to reconnect, it skips all the questions it asked the first time? Maybe I should start a new blog from scratch??
Sorry I am a bit of novice with the blog thing. I was hoping linking to Facebook would be easier than adding every email address?

Have you set your Facebook account to allow for the posts from WordPress to be shared with your friends? There is an option to do that in Facebook, under ‘Settings’ and then ‘App Settings’.

@buencamino61 When logged into your Facebook profile, locate the drop down arrow in the upper right corner of the screen and hover over it. A drop down menu will appear, towards the bottom of this menu you will find ‘settings’ please click on it. Finally, on the left hand side of your screen you will see a menu with ‘Apps’. Select ‘Apps’.
In the search bar on the right hand side of the screen, towards the top, type in ‘WordPress’. You will need to connect your Facebook profile to your WordPress.com account. There will be a message that you need to accept in order for this to work.
When I initially set up Publicize for myself I had a hard time getting Facebook to connect to WordPress.com on the Apps page, and it took me several tries of logging out + back in to get it to connect. It’s worked perfectly since.

Try to log out + back in to Facebook and WordPress.com and reconnect the them.

Good advice about the app in Facebook. It was set to private so that explains why no one could see it.
I have tried logging out and back in. Still no luck editing an existing post and then re-posting, but will try to log in and out a few more times and hopefully it will sync and start working on my new posts.

Create and publish a brand new post from your blog. Then check to see if it shared successfully to your Facebook page.
Publicize does not work retroactively. It will only work on new posts after you get Publicize set up.
