Hi there I have lost access to my old gmx email address and I can no longer log into my wordpress website. I have tried to fill in the form to reset password, but I do not have the details to fill the form in as the codes etc are in the emails. I did contact GMX, but they can’t restore an old email account that has been closed due to inactivity.

I do know what my email address and password is to log into wordpress, but it keeps saying it is emailing a code. But obviously no longer having access to old email, I can’t get the code.

    Please can you help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you remember your password have you tried logging out of this new account and logging back in to your site without using the email address. Your username kathygregorydavies and correct password should get you into the site.

Hi there thanks for the reply.

I have already tried that. I know what the password and email address is to log into the other WordPress account. But I get the reply “Your account has been blocked as a security precaution. To continue, you must reset your password”.

But that is the problem, I no longer have access to the old email address. It has been deactivated. I contacted my old email provider and their reply was.

“The GMX email address you have provided is no longer active. In this case, you have not logged into the email account for over six months. Unfortunately, if this is the case, we will not be able to further assist you as it is not possible to reactivate an inactive account.

So in short, I know what the email address and password is to get into my other WordPress account, I just can’t access the old email address to do a password reset.

It seems WordPress will not help me get back into my WordPress site! As I said, I can log into my old Wordpess site using my old email address and password. I just can’t proceed any further when I get the message “Your account has been blocked as a security precaution. To continue, you must reset your password”.

As I have already stated, I can’t reset my password because I no longer have access to that old email address I used to sign up with. When I do fill out the recovery form it asks for ID keys etc, but I can’t access the old email to see those keys.

I with WordPress could help me. As I said, I know what my original email and log in details are, and I can log in with those, but just not proceed any further once logged in!!!!!!!!!
