I have lost my usual text color options and need help.

    I notice that I have lost my full text color pallet, I am not sure why this is and wondered if my custom upgrade needed to be renewed to regain the options. I tried to renew my custom upgrade and THINK I was successful. Is this the issue or have I lost the color pallet for another reason? I don’t have a record of what my custom pallet was… Can you help me?

    Hi there!

    Are you talking about the Text Color option in the Visual editor?

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#text-color

    If so, the custom color option has been removed through an update to the editor, which you can read more about here:

    Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you!

    Shawna,
    Thank you for trying to help me, however I do not find an answer to my question on the links you provided. The color pallet that is now available is much more limited than the prior one I had. This selection of colors does not include those I used on my website. I am trying to maintain a certain color theme and this new limited color pallet does not include those I previously used. I want to be provided the color pallet I had so that I do not have to change all my font colors. I don’t know if I was mistaken but I believedI the upgrade I originally purchased and recently renewed allowed me to have this extensive color pallet. Thank you. Gillian

    Hi there!

    I’m sorry you didn’t find the information you needed in my links. The ‘More Colors’ link in the text color pallet is no longer available. This is not related to your Custom Design upgrade on your site cavityconservation.wordpress.com.

    You can remove or add the border by inserting style=”color=#c300c3;” in the HTML as shown here:

    <p style="color=#c300c3;">

    Just adjust the number c300c3 to the color you want your text to be. To be clear, you will need to adjust the image code in the Text Editor. This is explained here:

    Types of WordPress Editors

    Let me know if I can clarify this further!

    Oh dear! I am more perplexed than ever. The only part of what you explained that is clear to me is that “more colors” is no longer available and that it was not part of my upgrade. Beyond that I understand nothing, I’m afraid. I don’t know what border you are referring to, and I don’t use HTML (I don’t think…) so am not sure of how that is relevant to my question about color. Clearly I am inexperienced with all this so I apologize if I am slow to get what you are telling me. However, are you saying that the 15 or so text color options that now appear are all that are available to me? If so, you have a most unhappy customer because this is going to require a great deal of re-do on my part.

    Oh dear! The word ‘border’ was a mistype on my end. Sorry! :( This is what I meant:

    You can remove or add the color by inserting style=”color=#c300c3;” in the HTML as shown here:

    <p style="color=#c300c3;">

    Just adjust the number c300c3 to the color you want your text to be.

    This was an update with the platform that we use to run the Visual editor, so we can’t bring this functionality back.

    Please let me know if I can help with anything else!
