I have more likes on a post than views
-
I wrote an article on International Peace Day and the top posts on the statistics page shows 3 views, yet when you click on the article itself you see that there are 8 likes. How can I have more likes than views?

Hi there,
For clarity likes and shares numbers are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. Those who have username accounts only but no blog can become followers and click the “like” and/or “share” buttons. Those who do not have accounts cannot use the like button. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats/
Note: To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post thereby creating a page view stat, I have set my RSS Feed for posts to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading

Thanks for the quick response timethief. I have my rss feed set to summary. Looking at the posts in the reader they would have to click on the post to give it a like.

No they don’t. They don’t even have to leave their Reader page and that’s not the only place they can click the like button. http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/04/26/more-likes/

Thank you again for the information. I just made some changes. I will add your poems link to the post – they were great!
