I have moved my blog to a new domain but the wordpress address is still displaye
-
I have a WordPress blog which I transferred to 123-reg a couple of months ago. When I use google to search for my website, the wordpress.com address still comes up and my company domain name is secondary. How can I rectify this? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Becca!
Unfortunately, this will likely just take some time for the search engine to prioritize your domain over the WordPress.com site. The best suggestion would be to continually post new content to your domain. This will cause the search engine to be constantly updated with your new blog URL. You could also consider setting your WordPress.com site to private to hide it from search engines or even submit a request for it to be removed from Google altogether. Additional details here:

I noticed it’s set to auto renew, but you likely won’t be needing it if you’ve moved to a self-hosted site. Just reply back to confirm!

Hi Jeremey,
Thanks for all your advice. There are a few things I can try there. Please could you also remove the Premium bundle from blossominggardens.wordpress.com. I hadn’t spotted that.
Thanks,

Hey Becca,
I’ve removed the Premium bundle from your blog. You will not be charged for this moving forward. Both the privacy settings and the removal tool as a 1-2 punch should do the trick to help get your primary domain displaying faster in search results!
