  how to add my own domain without having to pay extra money? and how do i use my own domain without removing it from the website i already purchased it from?

  “WordPress” is the name of a piece of software. WordPress does not sell plans, and does not require anything of anyone to use a domain.

  When referring to this platform and the services we provide, please use “WordPress.com”. WordPress and WordPress.com are not the same thing, and those two terms cannot be used interchangeably.

  I don’t understand. If a user wants to map a domain wouldn’t there be an extra subscription/payment which they are trying to avoid?
