  Hello,

  I just joined WordPress. I would like to create a 5 page website. I have my own domain and my own server so I dont need to use WordPress server or dns. I downloaded wordpress to my server and configured the config file and it works. So when I upgrade… What package to I upgrade to and how do I create the site and have it hosted on my own server?

  I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble. However, you have a self-hosted WordPress.org blog, which we really can’t help with.

  To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  WordPress.com upgrades do not apply to self-hosted sites, so you would not need to purchase one.

  WordPress.org has complete documentation and support sites for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at http://codex.wordpress.org/ and http://wordpress.org/support/

  Hi Josh,

  Thank you for your kind response. Is there an option for me to build a 5 page website using WP templates and software, using my already registered domain and my own server? If so can you send documentation for that?

  You would not use your own server for a WordPress.com site.
