I have no blog. How can I change the gravatar that accompanies my comments?

  I joined WordPress.com for the sole purpose of following a friend’s blog. I do not intend to start a blog. When I left a comment on her blog, my comment was accompanied by a “gravatar” that looks like a grumpy purple face. Is there any way I can change it? Thank you.

  You can get a Gravatar that you can customize to be whatever you want here: https://en.gravatar.com/.

  Without a custom set avatar through Gravatar, the avatar that represents you in forums and comment threads are at the whim of the blog owners and random computer generation.

  I suggest getting a Gravatar. They work for more than just WordPress.com comments and forums, and are a great way to keep your personality online your own. Also if you do have a blog or site elsewhere, you can easily share the link with your Gravatar.
