I have no categories module
-
My new blog has no categories module in the post-edit window. I have another blog and know there is supposed to be one and how to use it to assign categories to posts.
Isn’t this a standard feature of the edit-post window? What can I do?
I still have the option of assigning categories in the Quick Edit window, but that is a pain in the neck.
I have tried changing themes and installing and uninstalling various category-related widgets in the sidebar. Hunted through preferences and settings. What am I missing?
Can anyone advise me? Thanks for any help.

Hi. In order to assist you, we need the URL of your blog, starting with http:// please. Thanks.

Air, thank you. It is http://clamsandbox.wordpress.com/
(This is my first time using these forums, and I thought than when I specified my url in the query form it would carry over. Sorry!)
However (1) this is a private blog that I am not at liberty to make public, and (2) you wouldn’t see anything unusual anyway, since the problem is only evident in the editing window for posts, not on the blog itself.
Thank you for any advice you can provide.

No problem, we ask for the URL to make sure that you are on the right forum at least.
While editing a post, check your Screen Options on the top right corner and make sure the Categories box is checked.

Thank you, I knew it had to be something simple! You learn something new every day.
