Hi, I have lost my domain name and cant access my blog any longer as my domain name is now being used by someone else. how can i fix this? my domain name used to be http://www.outsiderswindow.com but it doesnt even show up as http://www.outsiderswindow.wordpress.com either.
any assistance would be great as my online magazine is now vanished and is not visible on the wordpress or .com address.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I flagged this for the staff to help – it looks like the domain has expired – maybe squatted on by someone else maybe not – the staff can see if your domain can be retrieved

Thanks auxclass, can the unsquatt the new owner?

The staff have access to some tools I don’t and can also look at the account activity. If the domain has actually been squatted on by someone else you would need to buy the domain name from them if they would be willing to sell it – but let the staff review the status of the domain name before you get too worried either way – sometimes the Registrar will change the name servers to a parked page as a way of getting your attention –

The staff can also make your old site visible again

Thanks again auxclass, I will just hang in there till a staff memeber gets intouch. Much appreciated for your assistance too.

The domain outsiderswindow.com was registered with us, but it has been transferred or it expired, so there is nothing we can do to get it back. For information about the current registrant, see: http://who.godaddy.com/whoischeck.aspx?domain=OUTSIDERSWINDOW.COM

I have reset your primary domain to outsiderswindow.wordpress.com. You should continue to have access to your blog via outsiderswindow.wordpress.com. If you are still being redirected to outsiderswindow.com, you may need to clear your cookies and cache.

That goes to a WordPress.com blog for me, although the last entry was from last year. Is that yours?

I am seeing your blog when I visit owmagazine.com.

Domain names get stored on your computer in a “DNS cache” so browsers can load websites faster. Sometimes when a change is made to a domain name, such as your Domain Mapping settings on WordPress.com, the previous website is stored on your computer, and you can’t load the new website at the same domain.

These stored domains are usually updated every 48-–72 hours on your computer, but you can force it to update sooner by “flushing” your computer’s DNS cache.

You can find instructions on how to flush your DNS cache here:
    http://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html

That should enable you to see the correct site at owmagazine.com. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
