I have no idea how to delete info (text or images) on the sidebar

I had help building my website and was maintaining it myself, it’s the twenty eleven theme but now I need to remove images from the sidebar and I thought they were text widgets but when I go to appearance>widgets I can’t find the info… sorry if I’m not looking in the right place, I have memory issues due to a traumatic brain injury. Can someone tell me how to remove/edit images/text from the sidebar? Thanks!

This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names and have separate support forums http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

It is a WordPress. Com sure. It’s just hosted by Bluehost.com. Do I need to go to them to get help? It’s built on the WordPress twenty eleven theme.
