I have paid for my domain to be mapped however it has not worked, please help

  Hi, I have gone through the steps of changing the server on the website I bought my domain name from (1and1). I have then paid £11 on paypal to get this domain transferred via domain mapping on wordpress. I am not sure if this has worked? When I type my domain – ahealthyhappyyou.co.uk an error message comes up stating DNS error. What has gone wrong? Im sure I have paid twice via paypal as my account is still saying I haven’t bought anything extra?? But I have.

  I have verified your account, only one payment for £11 was made. I am also able to access your WordPress.com site at: http://ahealthyhappyyou.co.uk/

  It is possible that you visited the domain prior to changing the name servers which can cause a several hour (up to 72) delay before you’d see your site at that domain.

  If you’re still having trouble let us know but everything looks okay from here.

  @bdukes – thanks – must be a short delay of some sort in the domain mapping troubleshooting tool or a short delay in the domain mapping taking effect here – but I checked things within a minute or two of the OP posting – so might not have been much time from purchase to checking

  @auxclass yeah as you know domains are a bit strange, it may even been a delay in the DNS at the registrar when the name servers were originally changed. These things are a lot faster than they used to be but still sometimes have a small delay :)

  Is it safe to assume the site comes up for you now as well?

  yes the site comes up fine for me also & the domain tool is happy except for the 72 hour warning thing

  You be welcome – on domain mapping you will be the last one to see the changes, that is due to caching issues
