I have paid for premum but blog is still disabled
-
HI
I have paid twice now since July 4th, a $13 domain map and a full $99 upgrade, yet my blog still has the wordpress name in it. Due to this, my email is no longer working, because my site is invalid.
http://www.travellingstrom.com has been off air for over 10 days and I am very unhappy, so are my readers! Also, I posted a question to a staff member and I cannot find MY questions anywhere on the site, why can there not be a button of MY subscribed or favourite threads in the forums?
Thanks
RichardThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your name servers do not seem to be pointing to WordPress.COM – you should check with your Registrar
https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS/travellingstrom.com
From Domain Helper
Non-WordPress.com Nameservers
Although travellingstrom.com has been registered, it is not using WordPress.com nameservers. If your domain is mapped to a self-hosted site, then your configuration may be fine as currently set up. If you wish to host your site at WordPress.com, you will need to update your nameservers as outlined below.
To learn about how to correctly map an existing domain, please see our documentation. If you’re not sure whether you own this domain or not, the WHOIS database record may help you out.

It looks like you’ve done everything correctly on our end, though I see you only have two name servers listed with your domain registrar:
http://who.is/whois/travellingstrom.com
You should add ns3.wordpress.com to your name servers and see if that helps. You may also wish to check with your domain registrar to make sure everything is in good standing there.
Also, I posted a question to a staff member and I cannot find MY questions anywhere on the site, why can there not be a button of MY subscribed or favourite threads in the forums?
If you click on “member” you’ll be taken to a list of your forums posts:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/travellingstromFinally, it looks like you purchased domain mapping separately from your Premium plan, so I will refund the $13 fee for you, since it is redundant in this case.

@jackie – the name servers seem to have a disconnect between the whois, domain helper & whatsmydns – it’s my understanding that domain helper and whatsmydns do some sort of a flush on the info request that a whois does not do – the disconnect is confusing and seems to me might be their issue – some registrars change the name servers or do something to the settings if the renewal is not done
thanks

I agree, there’s something odd going on, since the domain should have propagated by now and it hasn’t. Since everything looks correct on our end, my guess is that the registrar did something on their end that I can’t see.

Hi and thanks for your replies.
I guess a slight  on my side. Due to having set this up back in 08, and having gone through 2 laptops during my adventures, it seems I missed a step.
The 3rd thing I needed to do was renew my domain name and after a convoluted journey on the phone, I have found the company that it is registered with. They are busy and not contacted me yet, but I would assume(I hope) that once I pay for my domain name again(it is being held) everything should pop back up as normal, once it has propagated through the DNS servers.
I have a feeling that a dead email address is on their system, so I never got a renewal notice.
Bit of a red face here, but I can take it, so thanks for your help.
I will post back here when it is all fixed so you can close this thread.
As for the member button, can’t say I have seen it, but whenever I got to forums, it gives me a list of recent threads, with some quick links to the left. As I have already logged in, it would be real handy to see my own ‘subscribed’ threads button prominently featured there? Just a thought but it would handy.
Cheers

You be welcome – would you believe you are not the first one with the did not renew the domain thing –
good luck & glad you found the problem – once the domain is renewed and they fix the name servers things should start working once the changes spread across the internet
