I have paid for renewal of the site and ‘wordpress’ is still a part of the address

  I have twice paid for the annual renewal of the site and the domain name still contains the ‘wordpress.com’ ending. Previously, when paying for the site, the domain name was changed from thearabicswedishnetwork.wordpress.com, to thearabicswedishnetwork.com. This is what I wish to happen

  Correct account: Yes

  While you can purchase a domain without a plan, in order to have your domain be your primary domain you need a paid plan. Otherwise your domain will redirect to your free *.wordpress.com URL.

  Since you only have a domain purchase, you need to add a paid plan in order to set your custom domain as the primary.
