I have problems
-
My blog keeps going to a more recent version, and I updated it when it was finished, but it goes back, and spoils my blog which puts off readers. Help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think it’s possible that your blog may be caught up in the duplicate blogs issue so I’ll tag this thread for Staff. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
-
@timethief: a good guess, but that doesn’t appear to be what’s happening this time.
@silverwind34, could you provide more detail for what is happening? Could you point me to a post where you’ve been having difficulty and explain exactly what has changed, and at what point in the process (as you’re writing, or after it’s published, or… ?)

It doesn’t happen (so far) on any of my blogs apart from ‘Silverwind’s Path’ which is sad because that is the best. I am now checking my other posts, but I’m not sure what’s causing this. Maybe I accidentally clicked something. I think it may be important to say that it doesn’t delete random words, but updates the post to an older version. I hope it can be resolved.

Okay, I think I understand what you’re saying. You publish a post and it reverts to a previous saved version?
So your post might say:
abc
def
ghiwhen you hit publish, but the post that appears says only
abc
defwithout the most recent changes?
If so, that’s very peculiar behavior.
One thing that could be happening is that the autosave has kicked in, which will save changes you’ve made, but if the post was already published, those changes won’t appear unless you click on the “Update” button. I noticed that in the post you linked, you published it in March but there’s an Autosave from April 22. You can see both of those in your revisions.
-
Thanks, oddly it stopped by itself, but I will keep an eye on it. I wonder why it stopped and started, just like that? Computers are funny sometimes.
-
Please let me know if you encounter this issue again when you modify a post and after clicking on the update button.
-
NO! NO NO! Got it back. It has showed my other comment. NO! This must be a different thing.
-
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand. Did the same issue occur again? Did you try editing an existing post or try publishing a new post? Which post is it?
-
Sort of the same. It is now occurring with my comments. I wrote a comment to readers, and one day it disappeared. I wrote a new
one, and one day the new one disappeared, and the old one came back. What is going on? -
Could you share a link to a post with comments that have gone missing so I can see if I can figure this out?
It may not be related, but in the meantime, one thing to check would be that you have third-party cookies enabled:

I do see some oddities with the comments, but it looks like all of the comments seem to be coming from your account. Are you receiving them elsewhere and reposting them? Is the comment form itself not working properly?
-
Yes, I only had my first reader today. I write them all to my readers,(not that I have many) and my step grandma Julia wrote one on my account. That’s what’s happening.
-
So to confirm: you are posting the comments on her behalf? (just checking that the comments themselves are working for you).
At any rate, it looks like all of the comments are displaying properly now. Could you check again to confirm this?
