  I have purchased my own domain name. Can i use the wordpress for free using my own domain name?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  The short answer is no, you need a WordPress.com plan in order to map your existing domain to your WordPress.com site.

  I’m afraid that Domain Mapping is only available as part of an upgraded WordPress.com plan. It is necessary to have a pro plan to achieve this goal.
