I have put in a recent post but i want it to show further back in my blog

I want to change the date on a post so that it goes back further in time on my blog. What I have written in a recent post needs to go back to an earlier date.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Go to Posts ->All Posts in your dashboard. Click on Quick Edit under the post title. Change the date. Update post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
