I have put some of my paintings on the home page but there is nowhere to put the titles and the prices.

  Hi! It looks like you’ve added these as a gallery, which is one option! Currently you would need to add the title and price as captions, though.

  Or, you could choose another layout. I’d recommend starting at
  https://wordpress.com/page

  You can explore the page template options there. Seedlet could be a lovely choice, for example. And all of them are modifiable — you can add new sections as needed. Or, you can start with a blank page and add block patterns, or even your own blocks to set up a layout you like — one which includes a place for each paintings title and price.
