I have selected several widgets and they still are not showing up with the theme

  widgets aren’t showing up with the new theme. I believe that I have selected them correctly. What is missing? Thanks!

  Widget Areas
  Ever After doesn’t have a sidebar, but don’t panic! Instead, there are four optional widget areas in the footer. http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/ever-after/

  Go to > Appearance > Widgets and install each widget you want to display in a footer widget area by dragging it into the box, clicking the widget to open it, configuring where required, clicking”save” and then clicking “close”.
