I have some questions about helping in the forum

Hello,
I’m new in the forum. I build WordPress sites in my spare time (as a hobby) and therefore build pages and blogs for friends and family.
Since there is so much to learn about WordPress, I’ve found that going through other people’s questions on the forums allows me to learn much faster than on my own sites, but I still don’t want to confuse those who need help. Having said that, here are my questions:
Helping someone, can I add some links to videos that are from an external source to the WordPress documentation?
And if the video relates to something on WordPress.org, but still answers the topic question, is it safe to post?

WordPress.com has extensive documentation support written by our Happiness Engineers and product developers. You should be able to find the answers to most questions by searching here.
We also have a number of tutorials for users looking to reach a specific goal with their sites.
You can get a lot of information on a domain by doing a Whois lookup. It can also help you figure out who the hosting provider is for a site not on WordPress.com.I believe that the ideal is to find the answers in the official documentation, but if that is not possible, I think that other information can be included. I’ve seen links from veteran volunteers to Paypal, from WordPress.org, etc.
