I have the paid upgrade for the blog but I cannot access plugins
-
Should the add plugin function be in the sidebar?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
No – there is no upgrade at WordPress.COM short of the VIP service (starting at $ 20,000 a year) that will let you use Plug-in’s – it is a security issue.
What Plug-in can you absolutely not live without?

I am just looking to use WordPress plugins like this- http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-count-down/
-
Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets
Try the Milestone Widget – probably not as flexible as the Plug-in but it will count down to the election or when ever – when I used it seems to me I grumped a bit about some of the format – but it is built in
There are some countdown things here also I think http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/

There is no upgrade you can purchase frpm WordPress.com short of being accpeted into VIP hoting that povides FTP acces and the ability to use plugins. Read this and understand that no upgrade you purchase changes what is stated here > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you wish to have plugins you must hire a webhost and set up a WordPress.org install and self-host it. -

Morning @TT – the refresh thing gets us all at times – also happens when I am collecting more links – oh well
More countdown options here:
PS – add a bit more text to your Posts and search engines will find your site better.
