i have to add /home/ to my site add to get to the home page

If i just put in my site’s address, johnfsworkshop.org, I get a page that is not the home page. It might be a page my users find called(?) home/archive.
What is this?
Thanksjohn f

Hi John,
It looks like the Front page settings are still set to your Latest Posts. If you want it to be your Home Page, go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard and select: A static pages where it says: Front page displays. Then for your Front page, choose your Home page.
If you are also creating posts, select a page to display your posts.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!

If I “hover” over setting I get lots of options but none seems to mention
front page or static page. If I click on settings I get “General Settings” which also does not mention front page or static page.
Where next?
Thanksjohn f

Great – it worked. I’m sorry but when you said “reading” I did not realise it meant an entry called “reading”.
Got there in the end. Thanksjohn f
