Thanks. Clearly I did not know that or remember it. After trying out a number of themes, I used only one (which just cost me $93 for a lifetime purchase). I chose wordpress.com rather than wordpress.org because wordpress.com gives more support. And I had superb support when I was building the site. It certainly never occurred to me that the site would be dismantled without notice. I think WordPress has an obligation to those of us who are not experts, to provide some means of protecting our sites.

You can check billing history and paid upgrade from your wordpress admin dashboard and check if the upgrade auto renewal is enabled/disabled.

The problem with that is, I never intended to auto-renew. I intended to find the right theme and use it.

You now have choices to either buy the Unlimited Premium Themes upgrade again, or the Gridiculous Pro theme to be able to customize the site the way it was.

lorigershon, sorry about the confusion. Only Staff can check your blog history to be able to see that the theme was changed. You had the Premium plan with the Unlimited Premium Theme upgrade, you purchased that on December 2014, and expired in December, 2015. Those upgrades are yearly subscriptions, if you don’t renew it you lose the features. We warn our users about the upgrade expiration dates a month before expires, that way they have time to renew it without losing any feature.
