I have tried every single thing I can think of. Just when I think it looks fine

It’s no longer a question, but more of a statement. I have grown to HATE wordpress. Every single time I try to create a page to improve my site and I add pictures along with Text nothing is aligned. It makes my site look amature.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just when I think the site looks fine from my laptop (which is where I create the changes) I go to another computer and looks a mess. Here is the page I’m referring to; http://findingmetheseries.com/new-castcrew/

None of the words are aligned at all. I’m so sick of there be this kinds of issues for something I payed for.

Everything is an automatic double space and their is no way to control that even though that is not what I want. It makes the names look completely separate. And before I get a response about this being a HTML issue or anything else, tell me where it instructs or guides you about having to do that? The features are archaic. I can’t control the size of the text…I mean what is the point of this?

And lastly, when I put up images to my background, again on my laptop I’ll see it one way and then when I go to another computer the image is completely smaller. Shouldn’t be one size image? I mean come on!!!

Hear you pain bro. I’ve worked with computers most my life, and a grad in computer science. I’ve been using WordPress for a few months now, and although it’s frustrating sometimes, what they give you here at wordpress.com is cutting edge and way better than most of the competition.

As a quick and dirty fix, might I suggest using a Gallery. You can do this by Add Media, create gallery. You’ll need to fill in the “Caption” for each one of your cast/crew. Probably specify it as thumbnails 4 columns. And then 3 columns for the next Gallery.

    Galley explained here :
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

Lining things up in wordpress can be a pain, would like to see table integration into the editor, as currently I have to tinker with the html. Basic guide for HTML tables here :

    http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp

I don’t monitor this forum, best place to reach me, at my blog , can usually spare 5 minutes point you in the right direction.

You could also try the support team privately, they fixed a few problems for me and are very helpful.

Main thing don’t give up, keep at it, you’ll find a way.

    Good luck

Is there a technical question? I got to the emotional part and just skipped the rest, since I don’t do emotional support.

I do do emotional support either so if technical question you had best post it.

Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application. If you want to learn how to format and space your posts and pages see:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-and-formatting-poetry/

If you are working in the Visual editor, to get single spacing between paragraphs hold the SHIFT key down and simultaneously click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.

If you are working in the HTML (Text) editor, a single click of ENTER will give you a single-spaced line, and two clicks of ENTER will result in double spaced lines.

    Read more here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/09/13/wordpress-formatting-and-spacing/

P.S. When you create a new post, always make sure the Format tool is set to Paragraph before you start typing. It’s in the Visual editor Row 2 first position “style”. See the illustration here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2 If you forget to do that then edit the post, highlight all in the Visual editor, select Paragraph from the Format tool, switch editor to Text then switch back to Visual and click Update.

Here is the page I’m referring to; http://findingmetheseries.com/new-castcrew/

    See here please > http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#alignment

The alignment icons in the WordPress editor are for aligning text; they are not for aligning images. They are used to achieve wrapping text around images on either the right or left hand side, or to display an image that’s centered without text on either side of it.

Align-left means position left, with the rest of the content wrapping around the right side of the image.

Align-right means position right, with the rest of the content wrapping around the left side of the image.

Align-center means position center, with no wrap-around (= the rest of the content below the image).

If the text beside the images does not occupy the same amount of space that the image beside it does then the text wrapping will continue and the images and text that follow will have a staggered appearance.

To prevent the staggered effect what you do is insert the following snippet of code into the Text (HTML) editor after each image/text pair:
    <div style="clear:both;"></div>
