Trying to edit my last post. It will say ‘update’ but then it doesn’t. I have tried this for the last 6 hours and I’m going crazy.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Try force refreshing the browser window (Ctrl+F5 on a PC) to see if the changes appear in the post, or try looking in a different browser to the one you are currently using.
If they don’t appear, some issues can be resolved by logging out of WordPressdotcom, clearing your browser cache and cookies (which will also log you out of any other site you are logged in to) closing the browser and then reopening and logging back in. Nothing seems to work. Would you have any idea why I am not able to paste a story on to the site? It only will publish the title, not the actual story.Sent from my iPhone

Can you give a little more info about what do you mean by “paste a story”?
Are you trying to copy/paste plain text from one place to another?
Is this story located on a different website that you are trying to embed on your WordPressdotcom site?
How are you trying to copy/paste? Are you using a web browser, an app, etc.?

Yes, paste text in the area that you would post a blog. When I do that it will only publish the title.

I am just pressing “paste” and the whole story comes up when I go to publish it but then it only will publish what I put in for the title. I am using my phone. Sent from my iPhone

How are you posting from your phone?
Are you using a mobile browser? If so, which one.
Are you using the WP app for iPhone/iPad?
Do you receive any kind of error message?
Sorry if this seems obvious, but when you paste your post in the Editor, are you pasting the post content into the edit content area rather than just pasting into the post title area?
The more information you can give the faster this will go. :)

Thanks so much for your quick response. I am so technically challenged so it’s hard to describe what I’m doing but I’ll try. As far as paste goes I just press on my phone and that bar appears that says paste, copy, etc. I’m not using an app for word press, just going to my site via google. And then, where usually I write a new blog, the area where you press the pen and begin to write, I paste the story and it shows a publish button but it won’t click on~ so then I put a title in and the publish button works but it only publishes the title, not the content of the story. So sorry if that doesn’t make sense.Sent from my iPhone -
Thanks for the steps to re-create your issue. To summarize, I just tried to do the following steps on an iPhone using Safari:
– Open up WordPress.com
– Click the “Pencil” icon at the top of the page
– When the post editor appears, long hold in the content area, select ‘Paste’ to paste in clipboard contents
– Then click PublishI was able to do the above with both a title and no title and the post published both times. By chance can you share the source text, or web page, you are copying contents from? There might be something in the text you are pasting that is causing an issue, or possibly it is a really large chunk of text.
