I have trouble accessing my account

    Hello friends, how are you? I’m contacting you to say that I’m having trouble logging into my account. I’m only getting it because I have the backup codes I downloaded a long time ago. I would like the site to stop asking me for SMS code. Every time I leave the site, I have the hardest time to log in again. I no longer have the cell phone that I registered on the site, in fact my cell phone crashed and broke, and I did not even buy another one yet. But as I said, I have the backup codes to prove that I am the owner of the blog. This blog I use to post in English. I have the Portuguese version too. I tried to change the password, not need to use the backup codes anymore, but always a popup box opens telling me to inform the SMS code that you send. As I said, I do not have this phone anymore, so I can not receive the SMS. Well, that’s it, if you can help me I’m very grateful. Today even with these access difficulties, I managed to make some updates on the blog. A hug and I await your response, regards, your user!

    Hi,

    If you still have some backup codes, you can login and disable the Two-Step Authentication by going to “https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step”.

    Just to confirm, this is for the account you’re using to post here, and the http://mysteriesofantiquityblog.wordpress.com/ site? Or for a different site in a different account?

    If you have the backup codes, go to https://wordpress.com/me/security/two-step/ and use a backup code you haven’t used yet to disable it.
