I have two problems
-
Hi,
I have two problems that are somewhat related, but not.
First, I accidentally created a second WordPress account to start a new blog, and I have been trying to figure out how to merge the two accounts, so that I can move my new blog to my correct account.
Secondly, on my old account, my old blog which had been inactive for at least a year or two, requires a jetpack upgrade, but whenever I try to upgrade it, I get a 404 error. I’m not exactly sure how to fix that.
These problems are related because I have not been active on my regular account ((email visible only to moderators and staff), with the public Cooking Cacophony and private Les Filles d’Évangéline blogs) for quite a while.
If I cannot merge the accounts, is there a way we can delete the intheepickitchen.wordpress.com blog so that I can move it to the correct account?
Thank you for your assistance.
Johane

Hi there. The blog on your old account sounds like a WordPress.org install, as you can’t install plugins on a WordPress.com site. Even if it’s connected to a WordPress.com account using Jetpack, it’s not hosted here so we can’t help you with that site. Please post in the WordPress.org forums for help with that site: http://wordpress.org/support/
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpackIt is possible to move your new blog to a different WordPress.com account. But don’t delete it. If you delete it, it’s gone and you won’t be able to re-register it. You can transfer a blog to a different account from the My Blogs page in the WP-Admin dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-wordpress-com-user-or-account
