I have two user names but one email address

    I have two user names associated with my one email address. The username I always use here is lalaruth, email address (email visible only to moderators and staff). However, a while ago I joined an online group at “http://theblackboard.blcklst.com/” and would log in there automatically using my WP account. However, i didn’t immediately notice (but eventually did) that the user name was Mrs_Adina_Ruth_Alfasi, and the same email address: (email visible only to moderators and staff).
    That’s wierd and buggy and i reported it to them, maybe a year ago, and they agreed it was wierd and couldn’t explain why and since our sites have been hacked repeatedly.
    However, to make things worse, I can’t get into the Mrs. Adina blah blah (that really is me!) because it says that user name doesn’t exist! I want to get into WP with that username only so I can delete my comments, and my account etc on that site i refer to above. I think it’s proven problematic.

    Secondly, we’re going offline and our custom domain, http://www.yeshivathamekubalim.org is forwarding to WP. I’ve successfully ‘deleted’ our other WP sites (LOVE WP, just we want to be offline now), but this one is glichy. Whenever I log in under the proper email address: info@yeshivat…..it gets me in, but i can’t get to the dashboard because I set it as private (fine) and then it thinks i’ve logged in as Lalaruth, who doesn’t have privileges. altho that’s ME! I’d like to invite myself to be a user, if that’d help, but the system keeps insisting i’m lalaruth and i can’t get in. Again, even after I’ve entered my pw, security code and all, and i’m in – it gets confused and insists i’m logged in as Lalaruth and as i set it to private, i can’t do anything. I just want to delete it.

    Finally, i’ve reset all the DNS records, A records, etc at GoDaddy as I thought that should fix the forwarding to WP, but not. I think i’d set something up in my WP control panel, too, if i recall, to redirect the custom domain to: kolyehudah.wordpress.com. And that’s where i’m not able to get in and unset it as private, then go into Tools and delete. Actually I did delete it in Tools last week, clicked the confirmation email, but it’s still showing as private rather than Deleted.
    Sorry to be so longwinded, but it’s a complicated mess.
    Now you know why we wanna be offline. We’re a nonprofit and haven’t found it bringing us any new donations in almost two years so….

    Hi lalaruth,

    http://theblackboard.blcklst.com is a WordPress.org site, which is not linked to WordPress.com, and uses a separate username and password altogether. For the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may wish to read the support article here:

    I’m not able to see what’s available at http://www.yeshivathamekubalim.org right now, so I’m not able to help you there.

    For the last part, I assume that you want to delete kolyehudah.wordpress.com, but are having trouble doing so? I’ll tag this topic for a Staff follow-up. They’ll be able to look at your account and see if anything’s preventing you from deleting it.

    Hi there,

    It looks like the mapping for the domain yeshivathamekubalim.org is no longer attached to kolyehudah.wordpress.com. If you’d like to delete that site, you’ll need to log in as the owner of it and follow the instructions listed here:

    Delete a Website

    If you aren’t able to log in as that user, I’m afraid I can’t delete it for you, but I can set the blog to private so that nobody will be able to see the site. Let me know if you’d like me to do that for you!

    thanks. Our site is repeated having attempts at hacking. I've checked our webmastertools just FINALLY today and since Nov 3 when it was verified under my email, it's been unverified and someone has been attempting to reverify it everyday since.

    I did get a confimation that it'd be deleted. I can forward, if you like. But it still shows private and doesn't recognize me as a user/owner..

    I just tried to log into WP again, and can't under this info@ address, and my other email address, it doesn't recognize as a valid owner. It's a mess. Everyday someone is trying to verify the ownership (not me) but i was the verified owner until (without my knowledge) that was removed and now i'm unable to reverify cuz i can't get into my WP.

    I’m sorry, I’m a bit confused about what you’re trying to do. The domain yeshivathamekubalim.org is no longer associated with a site on our end. And it seems to be pointing to GoDaddy now.

    The site Ash mentioned kolyehudah.wordpress.com was deleted by you about two weeks ago.

    You gave us two email addresses in your original post. A gmail address and an address @yeshiv… These two addresses are associated with two separate WordPress.com accounts. You can see your associated email address here:

    If you’d like to regain access to the account associated with the other address, please enter that email address into our password recovery form here:

    When you say someone is trying to verify ownership, do you mean of your domain? or of your WordPress.com account?
