I have written about this before but I am still confused.

I have written about this before but I am still confused. I want to make a Comment field at the end of my blog. Right now, comment option is buried in the footer. I am not thrilled with this option. I want a full-blown Comment section.

    Look at two ponder.com.

Also, I paid $99 for an upgrade. What does that get me?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hey there,

    I want a full-blown Comment section.

I am not sure what you mean like this. Can you explain how you want your comment section to look? Can you give me an example of a website that has a comment section that you like?

There isn’t a way to change your theme, Twenty Fifteen, in a way that greatly adjusts your comment section, but maybe one of our other 300+ themes will suit you better. You can always take a look at the theme demos to see if one has a comment area you prefer:

Also, I paid $99 for an upgrade. What does that get me?

Here are the features that come with the Premium upgrade:

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

I cannot find a website that has a comment section that I like. In addition, I have been scrolling through the theme demos but many of them have “comments closed.” My comment field falls on the second page. I would like for it to become part of my blog or immediately following.

    Hey there,

Comments are shown on the actual blog post, rather than on the front page. Otherwise, blog front pages become very confusing and muddy to read.

If you are worried that your visitors might not know how/where to add their comments, you might look into showing just an excerpt of your blog post on the front page, with a Read More tag. Then, your readers can click on that link, and they will be taken to the full blog post, where they can leave a comment.

Here is information about how to add a Read More tag to your posts:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

A bit more about how comments work on WordPress.com sites:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/

If you’d like a way to display your recent comments in your sidebar on your side, you might look at adding the Recent Comment Widget to your site:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/recent-comments-widget/

Your visitors cannot add comments to the widget, but it will provide you with a way to display your comments on your home page.

Hope this sheds a bit more light…drop me a line if you have more questions!

    Thanks.

Thank you for your quick response. I want to add or move the comments into my blog post or immediately after the blog post (not front page). The comments are either embedded into a footnote, header or show up on a page following the blog post. I have people who are having a hard time making comments.

    Hey there,

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to move the comments to another area.

Some themes don’t separate the comments in the same way that Nucleare does.

    For instance:
    https://bigbrotherdemo.wordpress.com/2014/07/07/town-hall-notes-july/

You might want to experiment with other themes on your site. They might display comments in a way you’d like better.

I narrowed down the themes by searching for two-column, simple-layout, free themes. You can start with this list, if you’d like:
    https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/blog+two-columns+clean/?sort=free

    Thanks again.

Thank you so very much. I think your advice will help me find what I am looking for.

Excellent. And please, if you have any questions, just drop me another note!

Best of luck finding a great new theme :)
