I need two things done: 1. The home page must look as I originally set it up. A NICE picture of the bull should be on it. The same picture but the way IT IS: lighter, simply good. What happened here I don’t know 2. I want the menu visible and NOT hidden as it is now. HOW to do it? I have already paid a computer programmer who…made it worse than it was when I came to see him. My poor computer skills caused the problem one month ago. THEN I decided to change the dame of the site to ‘Sawa Art’. Unsure how to replace the old name with this one I went to two different blogs or one blog and the Home page, I am not sure. In one of those places I saw no title picture, no bull. So I inserted the Bull again from my laptop library. To my shock …BOTH pictures appeared on the home page overlapping. The beautiful picture of the bull too the front place, prominently, nicely displayed but the top part of its clone (1/3rd of the size) appeared above in grey. It looked funny. So I went to a computer programmer for help with removing the top part and making the pages menue operational and visible immediately. And that’s what he did. He asked me for the password to fix it. I gave him the password 3 days ago and he has not fixed it yet. PLEASE HELP. It is a free site and I cannot possibly pay anything at this time. One more question: since I have NO ACCESS to any word press rep–HOW CAN I CHANGE THE PASSWORD?

Hi @bozenasawa, what you have now does not look like what you’re describing, so I’m not sure whether you still need help.
If you’d like it just as it was can you make sure you’re using the same theme and settings you were using before?

A very important question!!! First, thanks for the response. However it only answers a part of my question ; the other part did not reach you for some reason and the two questions are interconnected. So, please be patient with me and help me one more time. The whole issue consists of a few smaller issues which are interconnected: 1. I am at the rock bottom financially and the FREE PLAN is the ONLY plan I can afford at this time and, it seems, during the entire 2017 if not longer 2. I am an opposite of a computer wiz but a talented writer and my writing talent cannot be wasted; it serves people 3. Due to my very poor computer skills one year ago when I launched my site @bozenasawa I chose a WRONG FREE PLAN. It does not serve my purpose 4. A friend who lives abroad (so we can only communicate via emails) offered to help me build the same website– blog (I mean NO DATA would change) on another FREE PLAN he knows well. I saw it and it does serve my purpose, so I already accepted his help. 5. To be able to do it he needs my wordpress password and THE ONLY WORDPRESS PASSWORD I have had in over one year does not work (possibly you changed it because I hardly used the site for the past ca 8–10 months). 6. MY QUESTION/REQUEST IS : PLEASE enable me to change the wordpress password, so I get a new one which will work 7. Please instruct me if the new password will be enough for my friend abroad to build for me a new, simple FREE PLAN WEBSITE-BLOG. IF NOT, please tell me what else I need to tell him so he could safely and easily build the new site for me. 8. Once he finishes his work I intend to get rid of the site I am currently using and which does not serve my purpose (I will let you know when to delete it if I cannot do it by myself) and I will use exclusively the site my friend wants to build. He is just going to build it and I am going to be the new site exclusive user.

@bozenasawa we only have one free plan. Do you mean a free theme?
Also, while you can change your password, never give it out. You can add a user to your site instead if you’d like, via wordpress.com/people . Just note administrators have power to delete your site and your posts, so be very careful who you give it to.

Also if your friend is building a new site for you, you might consider exporting your content and importing it into the new site.

So where am I now? You explained to me the since I am only changing the THEME–there is no problem and I can continue with my FREE PLAN. There is no problem with exporting anything. Whatever is missing–will be done by me when I get the site: the one my friend is working on. I don’t think you explained HOW I can get the site from my friend. He told me he needed my NEW word press password because the original did not work on his computer; possibly because he works in a different system (I have Apple, he has windows). I wanted to send him a new password but, having tried many times, I could not get a new password. I am blocked EACH time I try to save a new passport I invent !!!!!!!
He would be using my password only for for a few hours , perhaps a day (in case he has to help me with the site. I may have objections to some things he did and want them corrected). Then I would change the password to a new one which I would share with NO ONE !!!!
I am unable to contact him at the present time. And I certainly would like to know when I will be able to start using the site he built.
So please answer what he needs to do to launch my new site THEME to replace the current one. As soon as it happens I will inform you so you can delete the one I am using now. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards,

Will you please help me or not?
I am willing to give up the help my friend from Romania offered if a WordPress representative helps me. I am particularly concerned about the Menu which I want on full display, for everybody to see and NOT hidden as it is now. I CANNOT DO IT. NO amount of reading your explanations helps ! So I engaged a Polish computer programmer and look what he did: hidden menu I did not want. He did not know how to correct it !!! And he is a computer programmer. How am I supposed to know. (I would also need some tiny, cosmetic changes on the HomePage but that is less important).
I have just gotten pretty scared. This morning I got an email which LOOKED very strange to me, however I thought that it could be from my Romanian friend (I did not look at the address) who was working on my new website (while waiting for your help with the password). So I “approved” the visit. Less than an hour ago I got an email from my Romanian friend who said he NEVER sent me anything like that. And that scared me.
Here is the email I got (obviously from someone who somehow got access to the date of my Romanian friend because the menu in this strange email features the menu items which I gave to the Romanian friend only.
That’s the message I got:

I am scared and decided to give up my international “help” and use your specialist. Even though I have a FREE PLAN will you please give me your expert FOR FREE so he can do the menu for me on display, the way I need and want? I would have to send you the menu.
