I heard that WordPress likes to remove features, is it true?

If so what features have been removed in the past and which ones are planes to be removed?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@upwardsup – WordPressdotcom is a product with features retired and features added over time. I’ve been here 11+ years and like all software, the only constant is change. WordPressdotcom is less likely to announce retirement of features, however that shouldn’t stop you from blogging or using your site.
If you have specific technical questions on how to work with your WordPressdotcom site, we’ll be happy to help you. Since you mentioned that you’ve upgraded to a plan, you also have direct support available to you via live chat or email from Happiness Engineers when you post at https://wordpress.com/help/contact
@wdn2020 – thanks for pointing out the link to the ORG news site. While we do run a specialized version of the core WP software, we do have our own news and announcements site at https://en.blog.wordpress.com/
Cheers.
