I imported my export from self-hosted wordpress

  No, I did not see an error message or receive an email. Now I am back to being able to upload again if I wanted to.

  What might I be doing wrong?

  No, I did not see an error message or receive an email. Now I am back to being able to upload again if I wanted to.

  I suggest trying the upload again. If that doesn’t work, add “modlook” to the tags in this forum and a staff member will stop by to assist.

  Hi there,

  It looks like there might be something wrong with your import file. I can see two attempted imports in the logs, but they didn’t import any content. I then tried importing the file in your site’s logs, but it gave me an error that the import file is empty.

  If your old site still online? If so, can you please try creating a new export file? You might also want to try breaking the export file up into smaller pieces. The file you’ve tried is still below our file size limit, but smaller files tend to import more easily.

  Let me know if you’re still unable to import it.

  I had the same thought. I exported a new file last night. The size was the same but maybe it is cleaner.

  If that doesn’t work I will try the smaller files. I will collect them now to be ready.

  I figured out the problem. The self-hosted site got hacked and has bad pages on it. I think that is the problem. Can you cancel the upload that is going on now? It’s not going to work either.

  I cleaned out over 1000 spam pages and cleared out other hack stuff too. I have a new import file that I would like to try. Please cancel the one that is processing now.
