I italicized the excerpt but now the whole post is italicized.

    I wrote a little excerpt/comment and pasted it at the top of my post. Then I selected that excerpt/comment and italicized it. Then when I viewed the whole page, I saw that the entire post had been italicized, not just the excerpt/comment. I figured that I was careless in selecting what was to be italicized, so I went back to edit and I selected and deselected so that only the commentary at the top would be italicized. Wrong. The whole post is still italicized.

    I went to Firefox and cleared my cache, but that did not make my post go back to normal. I might just leave it alone for now since italicized posts are not going to kill anyone, but could anyone set me straight on how to get only a segment of the post to italics but not the entire post? I thought I was very careful in selecting before I edited.
