I just

I have a WordPress.com blog hosted through SiteGround and recently switched the domain name on SiteGround. What steps do I need to take in order to for my new domain name and web address to be reflected on WordPress (WordPress is still retaining the old domain name and web address? I think I need to go to Account Settings and change the username from my old domain name to my new domain name and update the web address to my new name and discard the old. Just want to verify that this is the correct action to take, since I can’t change the username back once I make changes. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, if a site is hosted by SiteGround the are using the WordPress.org platform, even though it is WordPress it is not the same as WordPress.com.
You can read more about that “Here” If you want your registered domain to direct to WordPress.com you would need to map the domain. You can read more about domain mapping “Here”
The question however is, wich site is the site you want to use. The content on your WordPress.com account or the SiteGround hosted site?
You can use Jetpack to connect the SiteGround site to the WordPress.com site.
Or you can Mapp your SiteGround domain to your WordPress.com account.
I hope this will shed some light on your situation. ☺
