I just deleted my domain, but i wnat it back

  I just delete my domain http://www.planeta41.wordpress.com by error and i want it back, but i cant register it again, it says that ‘that site has already been used!’, offcurse, its been used by me and i want it back!!!! This is ridiculous… What can i do?

  Hi there,

  Once you delete a site, it’s permanent and can’t be undone. The address also cannot be recovered. This is mentioned on the confirmation page.

  However, you’re welcome to register any available address, including a custom domain:

  https://wordpress.com/start/

  But WHY cannot be recovered? What is the logic behind that decision? Cause in a normal nomain as, for example, Godaddy’s, when someone dont use a domain or expired, another person can buy it an use it… Why you can not use again an old .wordpress.com domain, even my own. Dont you think it is illogical and impractical decision? WordPress would be 1000 times better if you change that ridiculous policy, cause a lot of people have this problem with different contexts.

  Our policy is what it is because in the past people abused the system and used the ability to restore deleted sites to steal sites from other users.

  We cannot make exceptions to this policy as it is now.

  How could you “steal a site” if the original owner erase it. That means that the original owner dont care about the old site, so is giving away the domain, not the content. The content should be erase, of course, but not the domain. Nevertheless, we are talking about someone who wants to recover HIS OWN DOMAIN.

  Don’t you see you policy its ridiculous??? It sounds more to me that WordPress is to lazy to make a proper user service and analyze specific cases. If you let in the past that other users “abuse the system” that’s your own fault for not doing a proper service. But what you are doing is not a real solution, it just the easy solution so you can wash your hands and not worry more about the problem.

  Thats the reality…
