I deleted a blog site that I don’t use anymore (4LAR6.wordpress.com) and then added another Video Press account (paid). For some reason I cannot get videos to upload or to post on my blog:
    SanDiegoRegion.martyconrad.photos

Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I should add that one of the error messages I receive when I try to upload a video “could not obtain a VideoPress upload token”

    Hello there!

You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Your site at SanDiegoRegion.martyconrad.photos is hosted by elsewhere using the free WordPress software available here:

    http://wordpress.org.

Because your site is self-hosted with a different provider, support staff at WordPress.com do not have access to your site’s files or the ability to provide support for your current issue.

You can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here:

    http://wordpress.org/support/

    http://codex.wordpress.org/

If you need professional help for your self-hosted WordPress site, please check out:

You may also wish to contact your host’s support team for more assistance.

Could you tell me where/how you are loading your video? Is it to your WordPress.org site, or to a WordPress.com site? If it is a WordPress.com site, please let me know that address.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Thank you for the quick reply. Yes, it is to a WordPress.com site. The site is SanDiegoRegion.MartyConrad.Photos

I’m sorry, Robyn. I registered the site through GoDaddy.comI bought the premium upgrade from WordPress so I think I confused the two. I know I use WordPress.Com to manage the sites… Marty Conrad

    Hello again,

Thanks so much for the explanation!

I took a look at your account and I do see that you added VideoPress on two of your sites, but you also deleted those sites, and therefore your VideoPress upgrades.

Do you have a live VideoPress upgrade on a live WordPress.com site? If not, that is why you’re having difficulty. VideoPress allows you to store videos on a WordPress.com site, and use them at your self-hosted WordPress.org site.

Let me know if this is perhaps why the error is occurring, and I can help further. Thanks much!

Robin, I deleted them thinking that the duplication of blogs was part of my problem. I meant to have two separate VideoPress accounts, one attached to sandiegoregion.martyconrad.photos and one attached to martyconrad.photos. Is there a simple way to do this, or am I trying to make it too complicated? Thanks for your patience.

I checked the account information, and the receipt for VideoPress today shows that it is for SanDiegoRegion.MartyConrad.Com

I had already purchased the JetPack a few months back.

    Hey Marty!

I meant to have two separate VideoPress accounts, one attached to sandiegoregion.martyconrad.photos and one attached to martyconrad.photos. Is there a simple way to do this, or am I trying to make it too complicated?

Are you logging in separately for sandiegoregion.martyconrad.photos and martyconrad.photos? If you have two separate logins/Dashboards, you’ll need to two separate VideoPress upgrades.

If you are logging in just once to manage those sites, you only need one VideoPress upgrade.

I checked the account information, and the receipt for VideoPress today shows that it is for SanDiegoRegion.MartyConrad.Com

    You have two VideoPress purchases:

    04-Jun-2014 for $60 for 4lar6.wordpress.com (DELETED SITE)
    21-Jan-2015 for $60 for martyconrad.wordpress.com (DELETED SITE)

I cannot reinstate a deleted site. However, if you’d like to start a new site, I can move the VideoPress upgrade to it. Then, you can use that WordPress.com site as “storage” for your videos for your self-hosted site.

I had already purchased the JetPack a few months back.

Jetpack is free to download and install, but I’m assuming that’s you mean you downloaded and activated it several months ago. This is terrific. Having your Jetpack site connected to WordPress.com is exactly what you need to do.

Please get back to me with the information I requested above and we can keep moving forward on ironing out your issue.

    Thanks again!

    Hi there Marty!

I am so happy to help…but, your responses didn’t come through. Inline text doesn’t appear in our system. Can you send in a different manner — placing your questions in the body of your message — and I can assist?

Thanks so much. I look forward to hearing back from you!
