Hey there Donald!
You did indeed upgrade to Premium, but you haven’t yet registered a custom domain name for your site. Once you do that, your URL will appear just as you’d like.
In order to do this, click on the following link, and then select Register a New Domain Name:
https://lookingforasparagusatbestbuy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domainsThen, follow the instructions to finalize your registration.
The domain name and mapping are included as part of your Premium upgrade, as you know, so you won’t be charged for this transaction.
I hope this helps! If you have any other concerns, drop me a note. Thanks much!

Thank you the help. Domain is set up. Now I am even more frustrated. I have a jpeg on my home page I want to delete. Have spent an hour on dashboard etc./modifying 2012 theme etc and then even deleted all pics in my media library. Plus read thru tutorial.
What am I missing? How can I delete pics from either About page (or any page I create ) and also from Home page.
In dire need of happiness
Don

Hey Don,
I checked out your site. It looks like perhaps you were able to rid yourself of the images on the home page. Is that the case?
I do see one image on your About page, but it appears as if you installed that one on your own.
I may be seeing this note from you after you fixed your own issue. If you have specific image deletion issues, please let me know exactly which photos need to be removed and I can assist.
Thanks a ton!

Hey there!
I wanted to check in to see how everything is going.

I thought i was web savvy but WP dashboard has been very humbling experienceIt’s my pleasure! So glad I could help. Also, don’t worry — there’s definitely a learning curve when you start working with a new platform. Once you get used to it, you’ll be a pro in no time :)

can you check and let me knowWe tested your comment form, and it’s absolutely fine for non-WordPress.com/logged in users to leave a reply. They’ll be asked for an email address, but it will be unpublished.
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!

Hi Robyn
I am having difficulty making 2 changes to my 2010 theme. On the about page, I would like to remove the stock photo of the path that comes with the theme. I want to have only the picture of me on the beach on the about page centered at the top. However, I want the stock photo of the path to remain on the home page. Secondly, I would like to center the blog title and have the tag line placed underneath it on all pages ( tag line can can be slightly right justified underneath title as long as blog title is centered)
I have tried to use CSS editor to accomplish these tasks but have been unable to find solution.
Finally, a friend was trying to help me and on his WP dashboard- there is a plug in drop down choice under appearances- I don’t have that- should I??
Thank you for your help. -
Hey again, Donald! Good to hear from you.
On the about page, I would like to remove the stock photo of the path that comes with the theme. I want to have only the picture of me on the beach on the about page centered at the top.
No problem. What you will need to do is set a Featured Image for every page or post on which you want a different photo than the default.
Here is a link about how to add Featured Images:
en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/The only issue is that your beach photo is not the right dimensions for the header. In your theme, the suggested header size is 940 × 198 pixels. This doesn’t mean that you can’t use the photo as-is, however it will be cropped to the right size and you will lose some of it.
Secondly, I would like to center the blog title and have the tag line placed underneath it on all pages ( tag line can can be slightly right justified underneath title as long as blog title is centered)
I have tried to use CSS editor to accomplish these tasks but have been unable to find solution.Give this a try: click Appearance → Customize in your site’s Dashboard. Then, click CSS in your right-hand menu. In the CSS Revisions box, please paste the following underneath all existing text:
#site-title {
float: inherit;
font-size: 30px;
line-height: 36px;
margin: 0 0 18px 0;
width: 100%;
text-align: center;
}#site-description {
float: inherit;
line-height: 36px;
margin: 0 0 18px 0;
width: 100%;
text-align: center;
}Then Save your changes.
That should do the trick! If I can help in any other way, please drop me a line. Cheers :)
